I was recently tasked to describe my movement – what drives me to serve.
This ended up being harder than it seems like it should be, because, well, there are a lot of things I’m passionate about. And a lot of things that I believe.
Here’s a few of them…
I believe that we are all lifelong-learners.
There’s always more to learn, ways to improve, and ways to educate yourself.
I believe that if it’s not fun, why bother?
I taught elementary school for 8 years. I loved so much about it. Hanging out with my students was incredibly fun about 90% of the time. But eventually, politics and having to teach to the test turned my passion for teaching into a miserable job. So, I quit.
(Now, one of my favorite things is when former students and parents of former students connect with me on Facebook. I love getting to see these kids growing up. Though, I sometimes have to hold myself back from correcting their spelling and grammar.)
Which brings me to another thing I believe…When I quit teaching, I joined my parents in network marketing. My parents have been involved in network marketing literally as long as I can remember. They have been top earners in multiple companies throughout the years.
From growing up in network marketing…
I believe that network marketing has a bad rap.
And that drives me crazy.
Most MLMs have amazing, life-changing products. And many entrepreneurs join network marketing companies because they want to share those products.
The problem comes when they are taught to share those products in spammy and sleazy ways, simply because their upline was taught those same spammy ways.
But there are some amazing ways to share what you have to offer in ick-free ways.
Which leads to another thing I believe…
I believe that growing your business through social media, especially Facebook is the best way to do it.
Now, I know different strategies work for different people. But using Facebook to grow my family’s business has had some pretty explosive results and been so much fun for me.
Here’s just a few that I credit to Facebook:
- Gaining authority
- Creating raving fans who want to specifically buy from my mom
- Creating a community of over 12,000 people in our Facebook Group, all talking about our product
- Gaining 5,000 new customers in the past year
When I looked at what I believe, I realized, my movement was pretty apparent.
So, with that, I have an invitation for you…
